Latvia hunts for mystery tycoon
Latvian police are searching for a millionaire Russian-born tycoon, Leonid Rozhetskin, who vanished from his Baltic villa suspiciously a week ago.
Latvian officials quoted by the Associated Press news agency say bloodstains were found at the villa, in the seaside resort of Jurmala.
The tycoon, a 41-year-old US citizen, was last seen there late on 16 March.
Mr Rozhetskin co-owns the London business freesheet City AM. He also works as a film producer in California.
In the 1990s, he held top management jobs in Russia. He co-founded the Renaissance Capital investment bank in Moscow and later became deputy chairman of the mining giant Norilsk Nickel.
According to his web page on MySpace, he co-owns L+E Productions, a Los Angeles-based film company.
He was born in St Petersburg - formerly Leningrad - in 1966, but his family moved to the US in 1980 and he was educated there. He graduated from Harvard Law School.
