Putin submits treaty on cooperation between members of Shanghai Forum for ratification by Duma

President Putin has submitted a treaty on long-term friendship and cooperation between members of the Shanghai Cooperation Forum for ratification by the lower house of parliament, the Sate Duma. The treaty was signed in the Kirghiz capital Bishkek on August 16th. The Shanghai Forum comprises Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Iran, Pakistan, India and Mongolia hold the observer status.
