Lords ruling helps foreign liquidators

Foreign liquidators may find it easier to take control of English assets in multinational insolvency proceedings following a closely-watched ruling by the House of Lords.
Britain’s highest court on Wednesday backed the principle that English courts should co-operate with other jurisdictions ``as much as possible’’ to ensure that the assets of bankrupt companies based abroad are distributed among creditors under a single system.
