Four potential gold deposits with reserves of 60 tons to be auctioned in Siberia

IRKUTSK, April 25 (Itar-Tass) -- Four potential gold deposits with total estimated reserves of 60 tons will be auctioned for prospecting and development in Siberia on Friday.

The starting price for the licenses of Ostantsovy with estimated reserves of 18 tons, Prodolny (18), Babushkin (16) and Voznesensky (8) will range from 12 to 25 million rubles.

“Three-four bids have been submitted for each of the deposits. Subsidiaries of Polyus Zoloto and Severstal Companies are among the bidders,” the regional mineral wealth department said.

It is the second auction this year. Ten gold deposits were offered for sale at the previous one and four licenses were bought with a total potential of 162.5 tons.
