The Lebanese, styling themselves as born traders, have made a selling point out of the country’s political instability.

Lebanon’s banks are expanding rapidly in the region and beyond, and part of their marketing pitch is their proven stability under fire. From Syria to Sudan, Lebanese banks are becoming ubiquitous in the region’s high street.
