India overtakes Japan in Turner’s Asia sales

India has overtaken Japan as the largest Asia-Pacific market by sales for US group Turner, underlining the growing importance of the subcontinent to entertainment conglomerates.

Turner, part of the Time Warner group, does not disclose the breakdown of its revenue by region but said India overtook Japan in the first quarter of this year with revenue growing at 25-28 per cent a year.
