Senators threaten to stall arms pact

Key senators called on the US administration on Wednesday to provide more information about treaties that would ease the flow of defence technology to Britain and Australia.
Joseph Biden and Richard Lugar, the senior Democrat and Republican respectively on the senate foreign relations committee, expressed broad support for the treaties, which are designed to reduce the red tape involved in approving defence exports to the two key US allies.
